Leatherback Ledger Vol. 1 - No. 07 - A Quiet Valentine From The Studio
Share
Hey friends,
This month didn’t have much room for momentum.
Life got noisy in ways that don’t need explaining, and instead of forcing updates or pretending everything was smooth, the studio did what it’s meant to do — stayed steady, warm, and open.
With Valentine’s Day landing in the middle of all that, it felt like a good moment to slow things down and focus on care that doesn’t ask for anything back.
As always, here’s something small from the studio to carry you through the month.

🍝 A Cozy Valentine Entrée
This one’s simple, comforting, and meant to be enjoyed without ceremony.

Creamy Garlic Parmesan Pasta
You’ll need:
-
8 oz pasta (fettuccine, linguine, or penne)
-
2 tbsp butter
-
3 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 cup heavy cream (or half & half)
-
½ cup freshly grated parmesan
-
Salt & black pepper to taste
How to make it:
-
Cook pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve a little pasta water, then drain.
-
Melt butter in a pan over medium-low heat and gently sauté garlic until fragrant.
-
Stir in cream and warm slowly — don’t boil.
-
Add parmesan and stir until smooth.
-
Toss pasta in the sauce, loosening with reserved pasta water if needed.
-
Season to taste and serve warm.
Optional add-ins: mushrooms, broccoli, grilled chicken, shrimp, or a squeeze of lemon.
Valentine’s doesn’t have to be loud or polished to matter. Sometimes it’s just a quiet meal, a candle burning nearby, and the reminder that slowing down is allowed.
Thank you for being here — especially in the quieter months. The studio will keep moving forward, one steady step at a time.
Take care,
— Turtle
